		<description>Tyranids were first referred to in Rick Priestley’s Rogue Trader, the initial edition in the Warhammer 40,000. Before the we were holding not an emphasised race at the tables, instead representing a small group of occasionally-encountered alien antagonists. In in the future editions the Warhammer Tyranids  grew to become a playable race in their own right, popularised by a number of successful board games.</description>
